The previous owners left a row full of nasturium plants behind and I must have picked up a few hundred seeds last fall, which I sorted by color and then put into envelopes that I stored in the garage over the winter. Just this week, my daughter and I looked at where we might want to grow them and decided that we had space around the property for 85 plants, not counting the garden. We planted the seeds and they have all sprouted. You would believe our window sills at the moment lol. Anyway, the reason that I'm telling you this is that we will harvest thousands of seeds from this years plants and then we will trade the seeds for new seeds. We will either trade with our neighbors or trade with friends from home. Either way, I'm not sure that we will ever have to buy seeds or plants again. I have envelopes full of seeds that I have even told you about!
So buy a packet the next time you are at the supermarket... they sprout within a week and they are gorgeous!! And the edible flowers look gorgeous on summer salads!!!
Hope that I gave you something to think about today :) Here is to making 2017 the most profitable year that you have ever had!
