A New Place People Lose Money!

I actually found a quarter on the sidewalk outside of a Subway (restaurant!) I obviously picked it up and dropped it into my pocket!  I just dropped it into my found money jar!  I am amazed at how much is actually in that jar... okay, its just a few coins here and a few coins there, but they all add up. Just drop them into the jar and forget about it!

Saving Pumpkin Seeds

Have you noticed just how expensive pumpkins are in the stores. Around here, they are closing in on $5.00 each.  We recently moved to the country and the former owners left a garden for us to play in. We just collected 3 pumpkins that are now sitting on our front steps... along with a pretend one lol! We took photos to send to the granddaughter who loves all things Halloween and then we sliced one open. We have pumpkin soup simmering on the stove... pumpkin seeds ready to roast and yes, we are saving some of the seeds to plant next year.  And for pumpkin recipes... you just have no idea how many are available!!

I found another penny on the sidewalk yesterday! When I was a child, I was always told that these pennies were lucky and I eagerly picked every one of them up for the jar that I had in my closet. I don't know if I will ever get around to rolling them up, but I like to look at them and think to myself that everyone of them has brought me a little good luck over the years. And that is why I will drop a few onto the sidewalk whenever I think about it. I like to think that I'm passing a little good luck to someone else!

Here's a great idea and all you need is an old glass jar and forgetful family members. Whatever change you find in their pockets, you get to keep! Sounds fair to me!

Here's an interesting story that I found this morning. The man in question, went to the ATM machine, looked down and found a bag full of money. If you were to find this much money on the street, what would you do? A lot of people chimed in with their thoughts!
