We have been in our new house for a month and if we knew half of what we were getting into, I'm not sure that we would have bought this house. First of all, we moved from another state, so we were only able to view the house once. We missed... so much! At the moment, all of the carpeting has been ripped up and disposed of we are laying the waterproof flooring ourselves. It will save us about 10,000 from what we are seen.
Yesterday was the first day and we made lots of mistakes, fixed them and went on. Quite a learning curve, but we know more today than yesterday so, things are going a bit more smoothly. Well for a bit. We just realized that we need a special tool and we don't have it. Hubby just went out to find it. From his mood, I don't think that it is going to be that expensive... just annoying that we had to stop to go out to get it. We expect him back in about an hour. So... we find other stuff to do!
But if you can do the work yourself... it will be worth it!!
