I'm talking about feeding the birds today. Where we are living, there is a ton of snow on the ground which will make it that much harder for the birds to find food. I read in a newspaper years ago that birds will eat just about anything that you put out for them. I tried it and it works! But at this time of year, you are going to want something that will break down slowly creating heat for their bodies. That is where the white bread comes into the picture. If you want to give them kitchen scraps in the summer, that's fine, but not this time of year. They really need seeds!
