I know that this can be a tough one to follow, but it just makes sense.
Use one eye shadow palette for six months and then toss it. I was just
looking and I have several that I haven't opened and I'm going to keep
it that way until I toss one of them out. There is no reason to open
them all and then have to toss all of them at the same time!
