How many channels on your TV can you do without??  If you can cut a few, that might be a huge saving right there. But first, call your cable company and as if they can lower your costs... and they will probably give you a deal, but they won't do it if you don't ask. That will be the first baby step... and it will definitely put money back into your pocket instead of giving it to someone else!
