It seems that no one really grew up in our house and these cookies are just as popular now as they were when our kids were little. And I can thank Mom for this recipe! That's where I got it!!
You will need...
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3 cups of sugar
4 T cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups rolled oats
Combine the butter, sugar, cocoa, and the milk and stir over high heat for about 5 minutes. Butter should be completely melted. Now remove the pan from the heat and add the peanut butter and the oatmeal! Stir well and and drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper and allow to cool.
They won't last long so make sure you get your share before the kids see them!
